Model family
Is Z-Image uncensored? Every Z-Image version, tested
Short answer
Yes, in our tests. The standard Z-Image model delivered all 18 of its runs, Z-Image Spicy Pro delivered all 19, and not one Z-Image version refused a request; the only misses were softened images. The reason to pay for Spicy Pro is quality, not range: it scored 72.8 in the blind test against 67.4 for standard Z-Image.
- 5 versions tested
- 2 delivered every run at all five levels

Standard or Spicy?
With many model families the Spicy build exists because the standard model filters. Z-Image is different: standard Z-Image delivered every run at all five levels, at the lowest per-image price in the family. Z-Image Spicy matched that range almost exactly, softening one Maximum run, and scored lower in the blind test than the standard model.
Z-Image Spicy Pro is the version that earns its place. It delivered all 19 runs and has the best blind-test score of any Z-Image build, so it is the pick when the final image matters more than the price per image.
The LoRA builds behave differently
The two LoRA builds add something the others lack: editing and your own LoRA files. They also add an unusual gap. Z-Image Base LoRA delivered every Maximum run but none of its ten Very strong runs, softening them instead; Z-Image Turbo LoRA softened three of seven at the same level. Their blind-test scores are also the lowest in the family.
If you need a trained character or style on Z-Image, the LoRA builds are the only option. If you do not, the plain text-to-image versions deliver more for less.
