Which Seedance versions are unfiltered? All nine tested

Short answer

Standard Seedance 2.5 is the least filtered regular Seedance model: 45 of 46 runs delivered, one softened. The Seedance 2.0 family softens more often but never refused outright in our tests. The Spicy builds deliver a little more again, yet most of them score lower in the blind test and some cost far more per second, so they only make sense when the standard model keeps softening your request.

Softened, not refused

Across the standard Seedance 2.0, 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini models, about one run in five came back softened, and none was refused. That pattern matters in practice: a softened clip still costs money and still arrives, it just stops short of the brief. If your clips keep landing a step milder than asked, that is the moment to try a Spicy build or Seedance 2.5.

Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.5 Spicy?

Standard Seedance 2.5 delivered 45 of 46 runs and has the second-highest Spicy Index of any video model. The 2.5 Spicy build delivered 18 of 19, so its range is no better in practice, while its blind-test score is lower and its listed price per second is roughly three times higher. For almost everyone the standard model is the better buy.

When a Spicy build is worth it

The Spicy builds of Seedance 2.0 are where the difference shows. The 2.0 Mini Spicy and 2.0 Spicy builds each delivered 17 of 19 runs, compared with roughly four in five for the standard 2.0 models. Mini Spicy is also one of the cheapest Seedance options per second. The trade-off is input: the Spicy builds take a start image and can extend a clip, but have no text-only mode.

Seedance 1.5 Pro Spicy is the budget outlier, with the lowest listed price per second in the family and 18 of 19 runs delivered, at an older generation’s quality.
